Follow the footsteps of China’s Communist revolution—from the founding meeting in a Shanghai alley to the mountain strongholds of Jinggangshan and Yan’an, and finally to the halls of power in Beijing.
In 10 days, you’ll visit historic sites, museums, and revolutionary landmarks that shaped a political movement and redefined a nation. Along the way, explore how ideology turned into policy, how vision became statecraft, and how it all still echoes in today’s China.
This is not just a history tour. It’s a lens into modern China’s identity, told through landscapes, legacy, and lived experience. This is China, not just remembered—felt.
About this Journey
What happens when a political movement becomes a landscape?
This is not a trip about checking off museums. It’s a 10-day immersion into the living geography of revolution—where ideas became institutions, where slogans became streets, and where history is still being debated on today’s headlines.
You’ll follow the arc of the Chinese Communist Party across space and time. From the shaded alleys of Shanghai where the Party was born, to the clay-brick halls of Yan’an where it was redefined, to the mountain ridgelines of Jinggangshan where it learned to fight, to the monuments of Beijing where it declared victory and built a new state.
But this is not just about the past. This tour is about how the past was written, how it’s remembered, and how it still shapes the way people live, speak, and hope in China today.
From red-themed bookstores and revolutionary theaters to preserved command centers, empty barracks, silent classrooms and giant sculptures. You’ll encounter real contradictions: of vision and violence, of collective will and individual fate.
And in between? Mountains and loess hills, quiet alleyways and political plazas. Small hotels run by former soldiers, and folk songs that still carry coded lyrics. You’ll eat, walk, ask questions, and more importantly: listen.
If you want to understand China, why it looks the way it does, governs the way it does, and thinks the way it does, start here. Because here is where its story decided to become a nation.
